LIFE IN KOREA

I love Korea

Before I came to Korea I was not sure exactly what to expect. I didn¡¯t know much about the country or the culture, but now I feel like I am starting to understand the Korean way and am able to navigate the city. Seoul is a great place to live. One of the best things about the city is its wonderful public transportation. Using the subway is very easy for foreigners and most signs are in English. If you live in an area that is away from your friends or popular spots, just hop on the train.

Korea is very famous for Kimchi but don¡¯t worry, there are a lot of other delicious things to eat. My favorite is Korean BBQ. Seoul also has a very international area that has many different kinds of food.

Seoul is a very busy city with plenty to do. Going to the theatre, visiting palaces and museums, and traveling outside the city are among many activities. Weekends are generally free to spend however you like. During the week you can sleep late and enjoy your neighborhood. Work doesn¡¯t start until the afternoon, which means your mornings are free.

Teaching English in Korea is a great job for people who want to live abroad, save money, and travel.
